If you can agree to the above, then let’s get the process started!
Step 1. Speak to your counselor and check on your discharge date from the treatment facility.
Step 2. View our House Guideline Sheet, read it with your counselor if at a treatment facility. This is a printable sheet.
Step 3. Call for an over the phone interview 910-523-0478 (for men) or 910-523-0499 (for women). The interview will take approximately 15 minutes. If a return phone call is needed, please ensure to put your full name, counselors name, location and phone number with area code on the message. Please be in a counselor’s office to have some privacy to speak about your mental, physical and emotional health. Please note a HIPAA form must be completed for this process.
Step 4. Upon acceptance on the over the phone interview, consent will be needed to your treatment facility to fax your mental health assessment to us for your arrival. This will provide us the medication list you are on, NO narcotic medications accepted. There is a comprehensive list of medications that we do not accept upon request.
Step 5. Follow up appointments with a primary care physician, mental health or drug maintenance programs & IOP programs will be set in advance of your arrival into Journeymen.
Step 6. There is an entry fee of $350.00. This includes a $200.00 non-refundable Administration fee and a $150.00 deposit. The deposit of $150.00 is available for refund after the resident has been at the home for ninety (90) days and has given a seven (7) notice of intent to leave. The weekly room and board of $150.00 is due every Friday from that point on. Upon acceptance, we will hold your bed for your arrival. Please note: we will only hold a bed for a very short period of time, therefore the entry fee is needed immediately.
Funds of $350.00 may be transmitted via money order made payable to Journeymen Recovery Homes and mailed to Journeymen Recovery Homes, P. O. Box 10473, Wilmington NC 28404 or by any major credit card. If funds are not here upon your arrival, you will need prior approval through Chip Jones at 910-523-0478.
Step 7. We permit you to bring your own twin bedding (but it is supplied), bike, scooter, surf board, fishing poles, Legal car with Legal driver’s license, personal photos, personal items to make it home, food items, laundry items (some clients have allergies), cell phone, lap top (wireless connection is available). All items of value are brought at your own risk.
Step 8. Please arrange for transportation to Journeymen Recovery Homes via car, Greyhound Bus Lines, or Airline. Exact arrival time is needed and mode of transportation for pick up at specified location. Someone from Journeymen will pick you up.
Step 9. You MUST arrive clean and sober. NO STOPPING FOR A DRINK OR DRUG before entering. You will be tested upon arrival. If you arrive under the influence you will NOT be admitted into our facility.
Step 10. Have a SAFE TRIP and we will see you when you arrive. You are now a part of the Journeymen family. See you at home.
